PlatSil® Gel-10 is a two-part, liquid silicone system, platinum-cured, that cures (RTV) to a milky white Shore A10 rubber. This silicone provides a very natural, skin-like effect. It is quick and easy to use.

The PlatSil® Gel-10 silicone rubber (fast-curing) is a two-component, platinum-catalyzed, liquid silicone system that cures (RTV) to a milky white Shore A10 rubber. It provides a skin-like effect. Unlike other silicone products, it is quick and easy to use, has a neutral, translucent color, and when mixed with Mouldlife pigments can achieve a skin tone. In combination with Smiths Theatrical Deadener, you can achieve a density reminiscent of living skin.

This product offers a simple mixing ratio of 1A:1B (by weight or volume), a fast molding (curing) time of ~30 minutes, and a long pouring time (~6 minutes). To soften it and achieve the proper prosthetic hardness, use the Smiths Theatrical Deadener. You can also use PlatThix, which thickens the mixture into a paste that can be shaped.

PlatSil® Gel-10 is one of the favorite silicones in Hollywood. It has been used in Oscar-nominated films and has been successful in movies like The Iron Lady, Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, and Benjamin Button.
