The Tattoo (Cover) Palette is a set of specially composed shades perfect for tattoo coverage, along with shades ideal for "sprays" that blend the camouflaged area into the natural skin pigmentation.
Tattoo coverage:
- With a small brush, use a mix of orange and red shades to cover and neutralize the darkest and most black-blue outlines and areas of the tattoo. Allow to dry completely.
- With a larger brush or sponge, apply a flesh tone. Do not try to match a single color. Layer darker and lighter shades for a more three-dimensional and natural effect.
- Finally, use a Ben Nye Full Splatter brush to create a "spray" with darker shades imitating discolorations, pigment spots, and potentially freckles. An additional spray of red, green, and blue will create the effect of veins and blood vessels under the skin.
Shades from very light complexions through beiges and European olives allow for any effects that look very natural even in high-resolution film productions.
For the Ripper FX palette, it is essential to use Skin Slow Activator Illustrator or 99% alcohol to activate the pigment color. Do not use 70% alcohol, acetone, water, or other solvents.
