The 12 Years as Slave palette was created for the film "12 Years a Slave" by lead makeup artist Ma Kalaadevi Ananda.
"I worked and balanced with four different Skin Illustrator palettes to achieve the shades I needed. (...) I compiled a palette consisting of 10 colors that allowed me to achieve the desired effect. This palette is tailored for actors with dark skin tones.

All colors can be easily applied using a brush, sponge, or toothbrush. Use alone or mix with colors from any Skin Illustrator series palette to create your own unique color blend.
For the Skin Illustrator palette, be sure to use Skin Slow Activator Illustrator or 99% alcohol to activate the pigment color. Do not use 70% alcohol, acetone, water, or other solvents.
